Top 3 reasons why you do not follow scrum?
Well, honestly, these are the answers:
* Bookish / Theoretical. Its not our dignity to try bookish things.
* Who said we do not? We do daily stand ups for one hour.
* My manager does not know it.
Oh man! We are still an uncivilized and under developed community (of software engineers)!

Awww.. we software engineers are not all that bad, are we??? Speaking as a fresher who in his studying days was regaled with stories that this world belongs to people with amazing adaptability, go-getters, work-without-a-wink people and finally people who think out-of-the-box (whatever that means).. sorry for all the metaphors, so, speaking as a fresher who had all the above, I think a process would initially strike one as a conventional let down. But then, hey one finds out that its not so conventional after all 'cause very few actually follow the process. So, everyone's happy. So, O sw engineer reading this, the feeling of misery at the end of your day has nothing to with not following good scrum, which can solve most of your problems but, its your irritating neighbors and smelly kitchen - especially if you are a bachelor. Denial is a terribly beautiful thing. Indifference is even better :)
